RCD (Safety Switch) Testing
A Residual Current Device (RCD) or ‘Safety switch’ is a device which can be in a fixed location such as at the switchboard or power point. It can also be a portable device for use in various different locations.
RCD’s are designed to detect any fault causing a disruption to the flow of electricity through a circuit. It will then quickly switch the power off to that circuit eliminating the risk of electric shock.
