The SRM team was engaged to assist with the installation of cable conduits and pits at the Australian Terminal Operations (ATOM) fuel terminal in Kewdale.
The fuel depot remained fully operational, and excavation was not allowed to interfere with any depot activities. The site had numerous existing services that required exposing and protecting.
By using our DryVac vacuum excavator we were able to locate existing services, excavate around and underneath them, and safely dig a trench to enable the installation of the cable conduits. Using our air-assisted DryVac ensured that existing services were not damaged and the spoils could be used as backfill.
