Under the Water Corporation Pipes for Perth program, Benang Energy Infrastructure was tasked with replacing a pressure main in Modillion Avenue in Shelley.
The work took place in a residential area within established properties, so minimum disturbance to verges and protection of existing underground infrastructure was of paramount importance.
Deploying our DryVac vacuum excavator enabled us to provide precision excavation, while minimising any disturbance to verges and lawns. By avoiding the use of water we were able to re-use the excavated materials as backfill, thus reducing the time, cost and environmental impact that offside disposal would have generated. Existing services were kept safe and construction traffic on site was minimised.
