As part of the Metronet project, the Main Cable Route (MCR) alongside the active rail tracks needed to be fully exposed.
With the rail being a vital infrastructure link, it was imperative that the MCR was not damaged as this would significantly disrupt rail traffic.
We safely trenched over and around the MCR using our DryVac vacuum excavator, placing the excavated materials adjacent to the trench for later use as backfill. This enabled us to limit traffic in and out of a constricted work site.
